Family wins €5,373 after complaining about algae ruining beach holiday. A Bilbao court has sentenced a travel agency to pay €5,373 to a family whose holiday was ruined by algae on the resort's beach. State of Alarm powers given to autonomous regions in Spain as Pedro Sanchez offers flexible approach to lockdowns

Prime minister Pedro Sanchez has announced that any of Spain's 17 autonomous communities can call their own state of alarm to contain localised coronavirus outbreaks.
