The Heavy Rain Leaves Behind up to 58 Litres of Rainfall in the Comunidad Valenciana

The heavy rains that affects the Valencian Community has left up to 58 litres per square meter in the last 24 hours, According to data from the State Meteorological Agency.

The most intense rainfall has been reported in the regions of La Ribera, l’Horta Sud and La Safor, in the province of Valencia, with records of 58.2 litres, 55.8L in Guadassuar, 52,6L in Picassent, 51.4L in Simat de la Valldigna and 50.6 litres per square meter.

In the province of Alicante, the most intense rains have been recorded in the localities of Pego with 52 litres per square meter, Torrevieja with 49 litres and Xàbia with 42.4 litres per square meter.

Other notable precipitations have been the 45.8 litres of Villalonga, the 39L in Rótova and Barx, the 32.8L in Pinet, the 31.4L in Real de Montroy, the 31 litres in Alzira and the 20.5 litres per square meter of Valencia airport.

According to sources at the Emergency department of the Generalitat Valenciana haven’t recorded any incidents related to the rain.
