The Brazilian twisted his ankle in the second half and left in tears. The PSG has a sprain but the degree is not known, the next 24-48 hours are key.

One of the big stars of Brazil may not be able to participate in the next matches of the World Cup. The PSG attacker left injured in the second half and was later diagnosed with a sprain on his right ankle.

The Brazilian left the pitch in the 79th minute and once seated on the bench, Neymar began to cry when he saw the inflammation in his ankle, the player, aware that it was a sprain, felt discouraged and after the game, which ended in victory for his country, he refused to talk to the media.

Later, one of the doctors of the Canarinha team, reported that Neymar Jr had suffered a sprain in his right ankle. The degree of injury is not yet known but the next 24-48 hours will be essential to come out of doubt, it seems almost certain that the 30-year-old could miss the two remaining matches against Switzerland and Cameroon. But it all depends on the severity of the mishap.

“He just twisted his right ankle and it was already a little swollen. It’s important to see how he will respond in the next 24 hours. We have begun treatment with him and we must be calm and patient. It is too early to say right now that their World Cup is at risk, you have to be calm to see how it follows its evolution,” said Rodrigo Lasmar, a doctor from the Brazilian national team.

Milenkovic, the defence on the Balkan team, was the reason for the twist in the ankle of the ex Barcelona player, when he was replaced, all Brazil panicked fearing a possible indefinite loss of the star for what remains of the World Cup, as happened at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, when he was injured in the group stage match against Colombia.

The striker posted on his Instagram congratulating the team on the victory and then uploaded a story to his profile where he talks about staying positive: “It’s believing that everything will be okay, also during the chaos. It is the certainty that all the best is to come. It is to understand that everything has its due time. Faith is beyond human capacity, we cannot predict, but we can feel,” The star said to his fans through a heart felt instagram story.

His coach in Brazil, Tite, is confident that Neymar will be available for the next matches: “I have the absolute certainty that Neymar will continue in the World Cup. I am sure that he will continue playing the tournament,” said the coach.
