Storms for the weekend: six provinces are on alert for rains and waves

A total of six provinces of Catalonia, the Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands will be this Friday in yellow warning (risk) and orange warning (significant risk) for waves, rain and strong storms, according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET).

Specifically, the orange alert is for rains and storms in Ibiza and Formentera, the northern coast of Alicante and the southern coast of Valencia, with a cumulative rainfall of up to 40 mm/hour. In addition, large areas of Mallorca, Alicante, Valencia and Almeria will have the yellow notice active. Alicante, Girona and Ibiza and Formentera are also at risk for waves.
