Authorities have fined holidaymakers in Javea for organising a party with over 100 guests at their rented villa last Sunday morning.

Policia Local and Guardia Civil arrived at the house on Camí Vell de la Granadella following a noise complaint at 3.30am.

Agents confirmed the party broke restrictions on private gatherings, accoring to the autonomous decree 11/2020 from 24 July brought in to tackle COVID-19 outbreaks in the Valencian Community.

Police took details of all the attendents in case the party creates a new outbreak.

It comes after police have been given orders to crackdown on nightlife in Javea following outbreaks at nightclubs in Gandia, Valencia and Totana in Murcia – which reverted to Fase 1 of lockdown last week.
